Measured Turns
How to turn a robot an exact amount. In other words, determining the degrees to enter into a program to make a measured turn.
Needed Values: Determine the circumferences of the wheel and the turning circle.
1. Determine the distance the wheel must turn. (Dr. Turner's second hypothesis)
2. Determine the rotation amount to make the wheel go the correct distance. (Dr. Turner's first hypothesis)
3. Determine the degrees to enter into the program from the rotation amount.

Useful calculating information:
Circumference = (3.14)(diameter)
Dr. Turner's first hypothesis: Distance = (Circumference)(Rotations)
Dr. Turner's second hypothesis:
Angle of turn = Distance Wheel Travels
Full Circle Traced Circle Circumference
In other words:
Degrees of turn = Distance wheel needs to go
Degrees in a circle Circumference of the traced circle

1 rotation = 360 degrees
Proportion that gives the degrees to enter into a program:
360 degrees = degrees for programming
1 rotation turn rotations
